ΣΗΜΕΡΑ ΓΑΜΟΣ ΓΙΝΕΤΑΙ
— Today a wedding is happening!

ΚΑΛΑ ΣΤΕΦΑΝΑ!

~ Good Wreaths!

The Ceremony

Our church service will begin at 7:00 PM, Greek style, to avoid the heat of the European summer. We invite you to arrive by 6:30 PM to warmly welcome the groom, followed shortly by the bride. The couple enters the church hand in hand, faces bright with anticipation. Guests follow, filling the pews with warm smiles. After the service, the newlyweds lead everyone into the sunset as they begin a charming procession through the quaint village streets, symphony of music and laughter filling the air. This picturesque walk brings everyone closer, guiding them to the heart of the celebrations awaiting just around the corner. For those curious, a map is provided — but rest assured, the stroll is delightfully short.

Η ΩΡΑ Η ΚΑΛΗ!

~ The time is good!

The Celebration

A wedding celebration like no other; this is a ΠΑΝΗΓΥΡΙ (village gathering)! The festivities kick off with an hour of drinks and mezé, setting the perfect mood for a mountain top sunset. When the party truly ignites, expect the aroma of charcoal filling the air and the comforting warmth of homemade Tsipouro in your heart. The night unfolds with endless hours of dancing and drinking, capturing the spirited essence of Kosta and Tiana’s unforgettable celebration.

Dress Code: Celebrate the charm of an outdoor village wedding with a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Soft neutrals, warm whites, and pops of colour are welcome. This is not a black tie wedding! Ladies, leave the Sydney glam behind— there are limited hair and makeup artists nearby - so embrace your natural beachy waves or slick buns and bronzed skin. We suggest block heels, wedges, or kitten heels, and don’t forget to bring flats for dancing until sunrise! Gentlemen, feel free to opt for linen shirts and trousers; save the ties and tuxedos for the Ivy Ballroom. Please see our mood board for help!

How to get there: A shuttle service will be provided for those who need it! Those who choose to drive, rest assured the road up to the village is an quick and easy one only taking 15 minutes up a subtle windy road. There is parking throughout the village, but limited. Taxis to and from can also be found roaming the streets of Akrata, or arranged in advance by your choice of accomodation. For the return journey, as we know everyone ‘calls it a night’ at different times we have arranged smaller shuttle services for every hour after midnight. There is also the option to stay in Platanos village and simply walk!

To Platanos: Pick up from Akrata Beach Hotel, departing at 6:15PM

Return to Akrata Beach: An hourly pick up service from Platanos Village Square every hour after midnight (1am, 2am, 3am, 4am).
